Vinny is a cell and molecular biologist who applies his technical experience for the drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
As a research technician at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Vinny researched signaling pathways and biomarkers associated with vascular disease, such as diabetic retinopathy and CADASIL. During his doctoral research at Boston College, Vinny applied Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and CRISPR/Cas9 technologies to identify virulence factors in Toxoplasma gondii, an intracellular parasite that infects approximately one-third of the global population.
Vinny has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed research articles published in journals such as IOVS, Brain Research, Scientific Reports, Electrophoresis, and Methods in Molecular Biology.
