Ross Keenholtz joined Clark+Elbing in 2016. His work involves patent prosecution, primarily in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology.
Rossís doctoral research focused on elucidating the mechanism of serine recombinases, enzymes that mediate the horizontal transfer of bacterial virulence genes. By using a combination of structural and biochemical approaches, he identified the molecular basis for catalytic activation and discovered a novel mode of arginine-mediated phosphoryl transfer. He has authored original publications in Structure, the Journal of Biological Chemistry, and Nucleic Acids Research.
