Marlena Konieczynska joined Clark+Elbing in 2016. Her work involves patent prosecution, primarily in the fields of chemistry and biomedical engineering.
Marlena’s doctoral research focused on the synthesis and in vivo studies of biomaterials. She investigated a library of on-demand dissolvable hydrogels with the applications as second-degree burn dressings and sealants for immediate treatment of severe hepatic and aortic hemorrhage. In addition, as a synthetic chemist, Marlena worked on methods for small molecule and polymer synthesis and their application as solid polymer electrolytes. She has authored and co-authored original research articles in several scientific journals, including Angewandte Chemie, ACS Macro Letters and Journal of American Chemical Society.
